Zion

I'm Zion

Hey there, I’m Zion! 🐾

I’m a handsome Rottweiler with the soulful eyes to prove it. Nobody knows my whole story, I was found as a stray and ended up at the shelter, where my time was running out fast. But just like my friend Zuri, the Canine Healing Program showed up right when I needed them most. Talk about good timing.

Here’s the thing about me: I may look big and tough, but I’m actually a calm, sweet soul. I love people.

Now, full honesty: my leash manners are still a work in progress. Life on the streets didn’t come with an obedience class. But here’s the good news, I’m very smart, and I’ll do just about anything for a treat or a little affection (okay, a lot of affection). My trainers say I’m a quick study, and I’m proud to say I agree.

Mostly, I’m just grateful. Grateful for second chances, soft beds, kind hands, and the people who saw something in me worth saving. I plan to spend the rest of my life proving them right.

Come say hi sometime, I’ll be the big sweetheart waiting to meet you. 🖤

Zuri

I'm Zuri

Hi, my name is Zuri! 🐾

I’m a yellow lab, about 4 years old and a petite 50 pounds of pure sunshine. My story almost had a very different ending — my time was up at the shelter when the Canine Healing Program found me. Turns out, my life wasn’t ending. It was just getting started.

Here’s what you should know about me: I am happy. All the time. It’s kind of my thing. I wake up happy, I go to sleep happy, and in between, all I want to do is love and be loved. The humans here say I have a gift for it.

I’m no wild child, either — I walk beautifully on a leash and know my basic commands. I’m a good listener (some might say the best listener), and I’ve never met a person I didn’t adore.

Everyone here believes I’m going to make an incredible therapy dog, and honestly? I think they’re right. I was made for this — sitting quietly beside someone who needs a friend, offering a soft head to pet and a heart that never runs out of room.

I can’t wait to meet you. And when I do, I promise you’ll leave feeling a little lighter than when you arrived. That’s just what I do. 💛

Myrtle

I'm Myrtle

Hi I’m Myrtle!

I’m a 7-year-old black Lab mix with the sweetest soul and the gentlest heart. I found myself on a euthanasia list through no fault of mine, but thanks to a last-minute rescue by Canine Healing Project the day before my scheduled euthanasia, I was given a second chance at the life I deserve.

I am an easygoing gal with a calm, chill personality and I love nothing more than being close to my people. Whether it’s relaxing on the couch, enjoying a leisurely walk, or soaking up belly rubs and cuddles, I am happiest when I’m sharing life and love with those around me.

With my soulful eyes, affectionate nature, and grateful heart, I am ready to leave my past behind and start my next chapter with a family of my own. I have so much love left to give and I am hoping to find a forever home where I can be cherished for the amazing dog I am.

If you’re looking for a loyal companion, a cuddle buddy, and a best friend wrapped into one beautiful package, I may be the perfect match for you.

I'm Ren

Hi, I’m Ren! ❤️

I may not be the newest kid at Canine Healing Project anymore, but I’m still waiting for my forever person to find me and I know they’re out there.

I was just a puppy, only 7 months old, when CHP rescued me from the shelter. My time was almost up, and I was days away from losing my chance at life. I’m still not sure how I ended up there because I have so much love to give and so much life ahead of me.

I’m a smart, energetic boy who loves to learn. Training is one of my favorite things because I love spending time with my people and showing them how quickly I can pick things up. I have a curious mind, a big heart, and I’m ready for someone who wants a companion to share life’s adventures with.

I’m looking for a family who understands that my energy is part of what makes me special. I don’t just want to sit on the sidelines, I want to explore, play, learn, and be part of the action. Whether it’s hiking, training, adventures, or simply being your best friend, I’m ready to experience everything life has to offer.

I love people, I’m great with kids, and I enjoy the company of other dogs. With a little continued guidance and a lot of love, I know I’m going to be an incredible companion.

I was given a second chance because someone saw my potential. Now I’m waiting for the person who sees it too.

I’m not just looking for a home, I’m looking for my purpose.

Love,
Ren
